³The progressive MHEV plus system based on a 48V electrical system supports conventional TFSI and TDI engines and combines reduced CO₂ emissions with simultaneously enhanced performance. The powertrain generator and an additional 48V lithium iron phosphate battery enable partly electric driving, electric parking and manoeuvring and a significantly increased recuperation performance. This results in reduced fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. The powertrain generator also has a boost function that can temporarily deliver an electric output of up to 18 kW to the combustion engine. This enables very good acceleration and high agility.
⁴The visibility of the content displayed on the MMI front passenger display while driving is intentionally limited to the front passenger for safety reasons and to prevent distractions of the driver.
